Some have heard of SAVITRI but Sri Aurobindo's Collected Poems is unknown. Current generation has no taste for poetry, they say, but a poem like Rose of God can mesmerise anyone. It's like a fortress with a thousand doors and the more one recites it the more mysterious it turns.

Sri Aurobindo didn't write on current affairs after migrating to Puducherry in 1910 and his views till his death in 1950 are informal and scattered. So building any cogent thesis on their basis may not be a sound exercise. Even his The Renaissance in India is considered polemical
Each person is wired in a specific way. Both heredity and environment play a role. The psychic being has a predetermined script and circumstances are created accordingly, Sri Aurobindo would add. Thus professional competence or lack thereof comes as a gift. Surely a rift in ideas.
All spiritual writings are, basically, philosophy. Some are called mystical as no logical connections are apparent. Reading them can induce aesthetic enjoyment apart from the usual spur for introspection. The Mother & Sri Aurobindo have left behind a treasure of a hundred books.
