YY commends Devy's Mahabharata bur its essence has already been encapsulated by Sri Aurobindo in SAVITRI by incorporating the Vedic imperative. Overlooking that and wallowing in drama and fight can't be indicative of a mature culture. Intellectuals still ignore him with impunity!
Savitri Era Party has been raising its voice against Hindutva for the last fifteen years although it has nothing much against the present govt. Holding two terms at the top is enough for an individual and let's hope that this principle is adhered to for honing our young democracy.
Reading history is good but to be unduly under the influence of certain episodes is undesirable. Reading fiction, similarly, is fine but being tormented by the plight of certain characters or imagining real life in those terms is absurd. Reading poems better as no one understands!
Very few are fortunate like to be always in good locations, enjoying vacations, having delicious food, and promoting healthy products and practices. What is needed is creating a brand for such efforts instead of just personal endorsement. too is akin.
"The prevalence of a dead and lifeless unity is the true index of national degradation," wrote Sri Aurobindo once (Bande Mataram. October 23, 1907). Needs to be pondered over when Nagpur has cast its amorous eyes on Auroville. Govt. must vacate and return #Auroville to Devotees.
