Erlendur Haraldsson's life was spent documenting and investigating claims of the paranormal. His autobiography, published posthumously, is a must read for all those who are interested in the scientific study of the unexplained. writes:
“The most appalling quality of water is its strength. I love its flash and gleam, its music, its pliancy and grace, its slap against my body; but I fear its strength.” The great Nan Shepherd, born on this day in 1893, on the might and mystery of water:

#Medhātithi explains that intention precedes desire. This is not chronologically true, but it is logically true insofar as desires without intention are many and faint quickly, whereas it is only once an intention is in place that a desire can lead one to undertake an action

Goutam Ghosal@GoutamGhosal3 ·Feb 15 One of d  major flaws in most Sri Aurobindo criticism across d world is d  lack of clarity. One has to  clarify Sri Aurobindo's texts, instead of using mighty high-sounding words to show off  in ridiculous gestures. From the very start I made Nolini Kanta Gupta my ideal n Idol.

Kali's Brood @kalisbrood ·Feb 13 Swamiji is one of very few I have heard saying Rig Veda records spiritual experiences of Rishis. Most Sri Aurobindo's followers will know this already, especially those who read Secret of the Veda, else most approach Veda without a clue as to its utility in one's sadhana.

Ah..this fine gentleman has blocked me. But am glad to see the turbid venom ooze out. May #SriAurobindo shield them from crossing paths with me. https://t.co/uQn1PBshNU

They can weave this intellectual web of malice..he and his ilk, much popular in our circles, do it routinely..the subtle severing of Master from Hinduism..the establishment of a stand-alone ideal away from roots..they have been doing this for long…

@auroviryavaan Yes, yes, this is a very common trait among establishment Aurobindonians. Even more with Mother they use Sri Aurobindo's quotes to distance her completely. If only they paid attention to what She said about the Abrahamic "god" and how She rejected him even as a youth.

Savitri Era@SavitriEra·4h both Marx and Sri Aurobindo were lovers of Man and foresaw emancipation...analysis occupies a much larger space to encompass the visions of almost all thinkers pertaining to evolutionary possibilities of the humanity as well as their unfoldment in history.

ତୁଷାରନାଥ ମହାପାତ୍ର@NathTusar·Feb 11Replying to @OdiaCultureIf Bengal developed around the Ganga river network, then the civilisation must be many thousand years old. Bhatpara, my present location, used to be a seat of Sanskrit scholarship. Many other cultural excellence and allied economic activities survive today away from the limelight

Savitri Era@SavitriEra ·4h Both physics and philosophy fail to decipher what's life or feelings. Yet, the quest is on to unravel the mystery of our existence and the universe. Our day-to-day affairs, however, require a very limited circumference. So, not many are bothered about the big-picture or essence.

Savitri Era@SavitriEra ·4h Science has tremendous utility in our lives and most principles do perform with precision. But in advanced domains, variations arise. Thus, most things being taught today may be outright wrong. Still, a lot of confidence is reposed on pedagogy as part of growing up of the young.
