Psychic was a word that Sri Aurobindo & the Mother used in a very specific sense, i.e. the inmost, deepest & truest part of the individual Being, the Soul, the Divine in the individual. Mental activity & the emotional - affectual vital activity belong to our psychological parts.

Though not called a "Philosopher," I think I've made more $ than many economist doing my Applied Philosophy.
Sanskrit philosophy mostly developed in the form of #commentaries and that these are not at all pedantic and unoriginal texts. By contrast, they just correspond to the standard form of doing philosophy, just like 20pp articles are nowadays the standard form of Anglo-Analytic 1/2
philosophy. Hence, innovations within philosophy are to be found in the work of commentators and subcommentators. 2/2

Odia is the only classical language beyond the South and is nearest to Sanskrit in pronunciation and vocabulary. It has the most beautiful, rounded script in the whole world. Sadly, most people are unaware about it due to lack of development in the State and nonchalance ol the CM
Why is it so difficult for educated people to understand that the state has no business to tell people whom to marry, what to wear, whom to pray, and what to eat? This is the 21st Century; we are not in the middle ages.
Listening to well-spoken Marathi is nearly as good as #Sanskrit. It has a mix of ancient majesty and informal elegance missing in the classical language
Humans aren't the first intelligent species who built civilizations on earth. Intelligent life forms evolved several times before on earth. In the land and oceans. They built reasonably advanced Societies. But perished due to wars, disease, climate change, natural disasters etc. Signs of their civilization were lost in time and changing geographies.
i am not sure if bees and ants qualify as intelligent. for them its a civilization. each one has its work cut out for them. they explore, build institutions and impose restrictions on themselves. very civilizational like.

"Intelligence" is quite vague word in evolution. It changes as per species eg For a Chimp in forest , Humans are not intelligent who work 9 to 5 for someone else
Tomorrow is The Mother's birth anniversary. Her whole life was dedicated to establishing Sri Aurobindo's point of view on a firm foundation against much ignorance and resistance. That is in jeopardy today as more and more find it beneficial to be co-opted by the ruling ecosystem.
