Insights and clarity that are missing in scholars with decades of study

Santiniketan Sri Aurobindo Nilay is a living centre. It has been d reign of adverse forces since 2009. Matriprosad ji came today and instructed us to re-start the work. But we are reluctant to enter the place because of Kolkata Sri Aurobindo Bhavan's goons occupying the place.

@sri_nilay Sri Aurobindo Nilay Santiniketan is a living centre in Tagore's land. One of the most active centres in India, the students in the campus take part in meditation n seminars here. Mother had founded the centre with that message . " To open a centre is not enough..."

He is a converted Christian.  And the converted Christians hate other religions. I am not an aggressive Hindu, but this I know that the Nandy brothers r staunch anti-Aurobindonians.  They won't stop.

P. Lal changed his attitude to Sri Aurobindo in the last 25 years of his life. Ezekiel didn't change. Ashis n Dipesh r staunch anti-Aurobindonians.

Why r Asish Nandy n Dipesh Chakrabarty so upset with Sri Aurobindo's life n philosophy? We have to examine their attacks on Sri Aurobindo through Nandy's own miraculous tool: "clinical psychology"!

They are debunking Sri Aurobindo n trying to belittle Sri Aurobindo's socio-political ideas, nationalism n humanism. Because nobody will read their books if the readers get a taste of Sri Aurobindo’s Human Cycle.

One can apply all the theories of Sri Aurobindo to all the aspects of life, provided one is deep into his major texts. That way one can feel the recent despair of Katrina, the secret force of Rajpal Yadav n the psychological trauma of M.S. Dhoni ! All life is a field of yoga.

Man consists of multiple men,  is far more varied than western psychology cd even dream b4 1945. Tagore was aware of the conflicting demands of these "men" leading to the lack of integrality in some of his dramatic characters. A guy  from our dept interprets his ideas (1880-1900).

I have maintained my interest in #Auroville as an experiment of great value, an aspiring laboratory for Sri Aurobindo’s vision of a humanity endeavouring to rise above the ego and its endless greeds, says Michel Danino https://t.co/pJjGgbMbwM

For #Auroville to be fulfilled, it needs no power-hungry schemers, fraudsters and calumniators, no self-appointed spiritual teachers, but the simple spark and aspiration for change that Mother was looking for in every one of her would-be followers https://t.co/pJjGgbMbwM

Jessica Namakkal (@j_namakkal), assistant professor at Duke University, presents a side of the #Auroville story that has been systematically erased – that of the contribution of the Tamil locals to building the township | @neerjadeodhar reports https://t.co/USMKleDWs3

Would not be surprising if the falsehood in the management of Auroville led to such wider ramifications for the whole Hindu society.
However perhaps a deeper vision is needed to understand the forces at work..

Close disciples of Mother (like Satprem) have spoken about the mismanagement.. But here the issue assumed a great significance b/c the key arguments rested on whether #SriAurobindo's teachings constituted a religious denomination. The court gave the saner verdict in that regard..
5.2) Dispute over Ownership
"The sprawling 2,000-acre township has become a city of squabbles, with no less than four parties, including the Central Government, fighting over exactly who would run the project.."

My limited understanding --> The Inner supports the Outer. So people who say devotion is more important are right in a way.. But more often than not, Vocalising the inner truth is made an excuse to save one from doing the outer labor & meanwhile also neglecting the inner truth

I come at it from another view. All is the Divine, hence a piety that approaches ritual paraphernalia and gestures out of either faith or gained inner perception of its divinity, must not be trivialised by mindset blind to the manifest sacred.

Check this poem of Sri Aurobindo, all becomes the Divine, all is heard as the Divine. This is Nadam Brahma in action. There is nothing mundane, only a half sight that knows not to see truly. https://t.co/ZFuBodcJPf
@kalisbrood himself has reached most of his erudition via devotion and experience shedding light on texts. Insights and clarity that are missing in scholars with decades of study. Experience does not negate reason, but opens it to wider vistas _/\_

Interviewee Yogi Adityanath rejects Priyanka's ignorant claim that Rama & Krishna were "mythical". As a historian, I agree with Yogi. The stories around them may have been embellished but they did exist. Just like Homer's "mythic" Iliad is now known to have a historical core.

And so, uppity Hindus on their lazy seats decide to have nothing to do with them. A different attitude is possible, as per my hands-on experience with my limited means: convince them that the AIT is a mistake. I believe in converting people from ignorance to right knowledge. https://t.co/zSK7m54IVm

2/ Many IE-ists believe a Pontic homeland is nicely in the middle, IE expanding equally far to India & the Atlantic coast. But that precisely makes it unlikely. Most expansions start in a far corner & go one way, because the *reasons* why people migrate are rarely symmetrical. https://t.co/Bk5157iOr1

Acknowledging the Indian roots of the Vedas etc. is again wrongly understood to be a concessions away from the AIT. In fact, the AIT itself holds that many Sanskritic Ideas (yoga, Shiva, Tantra etc.) are only translations of borrowings by the Aryan invaders from the natives. https://t.co/6E3ZwD5r90

But yes, I owe you this review. Meanwhile I have written a preface to Shrikant Talageri's book-length review of the genetic evidence occasioned by Joseph's book. It comes out in a few weeks through Voice of India publishers, Delhi. https://t.co/6E3ZwD5r90

A way to recognize those not understanding the Aryan debate, is: they think "(im)migration" substantially differs from "invasion". No, it is only a fashionable weasel word for "invasion". Both words mean that the Homeland lay outside India, which is the whole point of the debate. https://t.co/6E3ZwD5r90
