No doubt #SubhasChandraBose was a great soul, a nationalist supreme freedom fighter, but Sri Aurobindo, whose 150th birth anniversary w r celebrating this year, opposed his allying with Hitler & the Japanese who incarnated asuric forces then. U dont defend Dharma using the Asura
Subhas Chandra Bose eulogised génöçîdál bigot Aurangzeb. He was admirer of all sorts of mass mûrdèrèrs like Hît1èr. He was anti-democracy and wanted to become autocrat of India. #PseudoHindutva must develop basic intellect to find real icons rather than #WorshippingFalseGods.

I have no problems in celebrating Bose, his patriotism and sacrifice. But to belittle Mahatma Gandhi is unacceptable especially when cold logic applies. Sri Aurobindo puts that logic clearly.
Young Indians are increasingly worried about their own future than what leaders of the past said or did or did not -- though there's a relevance to their ideologies still. New-age leaders need to interpret old ideas in a new context. Else it is all intellectual shadowboxing.
Auroville’s residents are still divided over the decision to implement the Master Plan, designed by French architect Roger Anger. The plan had been approved by Auroville founder Mirra Alfassa, commonly referred to as ‘Mother.’

Since we're discussing Netaji, WW2, war and morality, there's a third Indian position in relation to the menace that Hitler & Nazism represented: Sri Aurobindo's unambiguous support of the Allied powers. "I am neither an impotent moralistic nor a weak pacifist."
If anybody is really interested in India's civilizational end goals, an *experiential* deep dive into Sri Aurobindo's and the Mother's vision is a must. Not theoretical, not academic, not religious, not spiritual. Experiential.

Such a problem of plenty also pervades Western philosophy. There are so many major philosophers that no one can write on any topic without referring to half a dozen names at the minimum.[1] Further, one feels guilty if he mentions someone but leaves out another. So, ultimately, one just juggles various names without arriving at any final conclusion on anything. Such writing is proliferating without any sense of responsibility to thrash out some kind of a solution.[2]

An identical problem is faced by Bengalis. So many great men were born before Independence that they are always tormented as to whom to remember and whom to honour. Their love and respect is always torn between multiple personalities. Deep fissures also develop between friends and family members while negotiating this problem of plenty.[3]

Bengalis have been fed with the falsehood that he left Bengal in a cowardly manner by leaving his young followers high and dry whereas #SavitriEraNarrative would disclose that if we remember #SriAurobindo today it's for the profound writings he produced on migrating to Puducherry
Those who want to worship Gandhi Tilak, Tagore, Subhas, or Vivekananda are free to do so. But why take the name of Sri Aurobindo along with them. It should be clear that The Mother & Sri Aurobindo have worked relentlessly to bring down the Supramental force. Others have no clue.

Looking at history through the lens of Subhas can be as skewed as imagining everything in terms of Gandhi or Nehru. They have exhibited heroism or leadership but when it comes to visionary element, there´s no one who can match Sri Aurobindo. Revolution, yes but Evolution, urgent.

Sri Aurobindo is the most suitable alternative to flawed ideologies ensuing from Marx, Gandhi, Nehru, Subhas, Lohia, Ambedkar, and Savarkar.
Be it Churchill or Hitler, or Subhas and Savarkar; best means to understand their historical significance is borrowing lens of Sri Aurobindo
Mythology around The Mother & Sri Aurobindo will grow. If we are aware of Max Théon and Paul Richard, the same yardsticks have to be applied to others like Dilip Kumar Roy and Subhas Chandra Bose. Clarity on matters esoteric is essential. TNM [Nika Kuchuk tspace.library.utoronto.ca/handle/1807/10]
