Religious conversion is legal in India. It is covered by a fundamental right under the Constitution. Talk of inducement is irrelevant because there's no law against incentive or inducement.
Try saying that to Supreme court. 'Profess" includes right to even start a new religion.
SC doesn't have to say it implied in the Constitution. If there's a specific dispute,SC will rule under the relevant articles. Propagation if it leads to individual profession is conversion. End of debate.
There's nothing to debate further. SC is the final arbiter. There's nobody challenging religious conversion there because there's no law against it. Only political noise.

Overnight experts on Auroville are not aware of the S.P. Mittal case which examined whether Auroville were a fresh religious denomination. The dissenting judgement of Justice O. Chinnappa Reddy holds the key to a long term solution and not the present attempts at window dressing.
Auroville belonged to Sri Aurobindo Society but of late it leans more towards Hindutva than The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Even then, it has all legal and ethical rights to own Auroville. Govt. should take its hands off a minority religious organisation as per J. O. Chinnappa Reddy.
Justice O. Chinnappa Reddy studied the case in detail and gave his dissenting judgement. Such an erudite verdict should be part of Indian Constitution. Auroville is a decorative extension of Matrimandir; it's a new religion. Govt. has no business in meddling with its inspiration.
It's astounding that people don't, or unable to, understand the power of Twitter. Not surprising since people are indifferent about even Sri Aurobindo. Democracy becomes suspect in such situations. But that may be the course of evolutionary intention. From ignorance to knowledge.
Audio-visual had a mesmerising effect during our college days and we eagerly waited for a class in that room in Regional College of Education in Bhubaneswar. Short documentaries seemed as manna from heaven. Videos on Sri Aurobindo are mushrooming but transcripts are never posted.
