It has emerged that Robert Wilkinson is a close associate of ‘Thea’, Patrizia Norelli Bachelet. I have been recommended by members of the Auroville Working Committee, as well of the Auroville Outreach Media, not to entertain any discussion. Everybody should know that in no way Auroville is to be associated with any of the customary items with which Norelli & entourage have been bombarding Sri Aurobindo’s and the Mother’s followers for years. I am wondering if you have READ the entire ‘Waving the Flag of Cosmic Ignorance in the Face of Sri Aurobindo’ article? [...] I don’t know if your horror and dismay over seeing Vishnu and the signs of the zodiac in the Mother’s Symbol will be shared by Indians and others who have some degree of understanding and respect for both astrology and the Dasavataras of Vishnu. Are you seriously intent on divorcing the Mother from the Mother Earth and Her cycles in time, and from the Vedic tradition of Vishnu’s avatars!?!
That will truly be a difficult task and will win you little honor, except perhaps in the un-glorious circle of ‘We’ who join you in ‘Waving the Flag of Cosmic Ignorance …’. [...] I especially do not understand your accusing ME of mutilating and disfiguring the Mother’s Symbol in a 308 by 320 pixel diagram when you and those you represent have had no qualms about disfiguring and dismissing the 24 meter Inner Chamber that the Mother envisioned for HER Temple.
No one in your constituency of ‘We’ cared then or cares now [...] This comment which I have titled 'Lori Deplored ... Hypocrisy Adored in Matters of the Mother's Temple' ended up being too long for this forum, it is continued at http://circumsolatious.blogspot.com/2009/08/lori-deplored-hypocrisy-adored-in.html Posted by Lori Tompkins to Savitri Era at 11:17 PM, August 18, 2009
Robert E. Wilkinson has left a new comment on your post "Placing Sri Aurobindo and the Mother on incomparab...":
What I find so disturbing about Tusar Mohapatra’s comments is that he holds himself out to all as an authority on Sri Aurobindo and the Mother and presumes, like his colleagues in Auroville, to lead devotees toward a greater understanding of their work. [...] for someone who has taken on the sacred responsibility of broadcasting Sri Aurobindo’s and the Mother’s message to the world, promoting this kind of dogmatic intransigence to others under the pretext of an Integral Knowledge is simply unacceptable.
Sri Aurobindo wrote that the first condition of the Supermind is exactness, clearness and order both in the total and the details and their relations. Those of us capable of honoring that condition have the absolute right and moreover the duty to demand that exactitude and clarity from others like Tusar and Paulette who hold themselves out as the highest authorities on Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. [...]
Let us be clear, Tusar and Paulette consider themselves accomplished scholars but this epochal work is not about mere scholarship. It is about Yoga… Realization. [...] while Tusar and Paulette take great pride in flaunting their scholarship [...] Let Tusar, Paulette or R.Y. Deshpande answer if they can and if they cannot, let them step aside and acknowledge the people who can. Posted by Robert E. Wilkinson to Savitri Era Open Forum at 5:10 PM, August 17, 2009
Like his cronies in Auroville, Tusar arrogantly believes that he already knows the truth making continued growth and the comprehension of anything higher a virtual impossibility. He is in a state of Mental Inertia which is simply another word for dogmatic intransigence. There is no openness, no innocence of mind, no willingness to learn, just an arrogant belief in the certainty of his own arrested comprehension. This has been the status quo in Auroville for 36 years, complete Inertia and a pathological rejection of the light. To be challenged by those of us who possess some degree of realization evokes the most vitriolic response [...] Posted by Robert E. Wilkinson to Savitri Era at 6:39 PM, August 17, 2009
Tusar N Mohapatra has left a new comment on your post "Dialogue between the Father of the Nation and the ...": I specifically mentioned "inellectual legacy" pertaining to say, socio-political theory. [TNM] Posted by Tusar N Mohapatra to Savitri Era at 11:30 AM, August 17, 2009
