Great interview of @HindolSengupta and a fabulous lesson on Bose, Savarkar & Aurobindo's Untold Stories of India's Freedom Struggle

British with all their faults were not the Imperial Japan nor were they Nazi Germany. Our people fought against those evil powers and won. We stood for what was right. He knew what hitler was still he went to him, he knew what japanese were doing to china, burma… still he invited them to invade. Freedom fighter?

i dont support the japanese, but the notion u have of netaji, not being an= freedom fighter or contributing nothing for indians is wrong, i agree with u on the japanese part, even sri aurobindo was angry with bose on his devils pact with japan,

Self-help books are a scam. It’s time to break free from their illusionBooks by self-help authors like Ankur Warikoo, Robin Sharma, and Jay Shetty promote toxic positivity, hustle culture, and phony motivation, depending on their angle. It’s just a brief mental high.
Consuming self-help advice gives the illusion of action, but real change requires sustained, often uncomfortable effort. Reading about solutions doesn’t equate to actually solving the root causes of emotional distress, which is why many people find themselves trapped in a cycle of endless self-improvement without tangible results.

A.G. Noorani reminds of N.J. Nanporia about whom Dhiren Bhagat wrote in Imprint, August 1983:
"No examples are needed to convey the sheer tedium of NJN’s column: anyone who spent six months walking in the Sahara will know what I’m talking about."

Thanks for shared views. Human memory is limited. Nature has a process of erasing memory so that we live relatively peacefully. So preserving history is a superstition and may be a colonial imposition. Debate necessary instead of empty slogans like those who forget history...
