Word Hindu has multiple meanings & here I feel Sri Aurobindo used it to refer to the most outwardly or customarily religious sense of it. Her Dvinity as Cit-Shakti & that of Sri Aurobindo as Sat-Purusha is the dual dynamic & eternal base of Indias exo/esoteric theistic traditions
The religionists are trying to use #SriAurobindo as a mascot of Hindu religion. It's a gross misconception. He terms "intellectual dogmas, forms and ceremonies, on some fixed and rigid moral code" as "not the essence". Change of consciousness is the key.
One must visit Sri Aurobindo ashram and see the life the ashramites lead. No Hindu (or any other religious) festivals or rituals commemorated. There must be a good reason why the Mother wanted things to be this way.

Samved has only 75 M'ntr of its own. Yajurved has over 650 M'ntr borrowed from Rigved+ over 350 on Agni. Agni & Indr, most dominant Vedic deities aren't worshipped now by Hindus
for eg, Sri Aurobindo had a very non-conventional interpretation of the Gita. But his intent was Decolonial. Hindus who wish to engage with that do. The way BORI is interpreting is harmful. Knowledge production cant be separated from the power structures that produce them.
Worryingly like Hindus of the last century did to Gandhi Hindus of today, even sincere followers of Sri Aurobindo, give blind allegiance to their leaders. So prblm is not Afghanistan but Hindu leaders & Hindus themselves who r doomed by their own incurable meekness to lose India.
Savitri Era Religion is against Hindu mythology and rituals. Its only condition is faith in The Mother & Sri Aurobindo. Modern generation needs such a religion free from irrationality and superstitions. It's a global fraternity with Centres in almost every country. All may join.

Critical appraisal is not opposition; it's done out of sympathy. But Gandhi was in the field and had to be utilised for specific purposes. Hindutva, as we understand today, was absent then. By Hindus, Sri Aurobindo meant Indians. There was no communal angle in his thinking.
No greater self-delusion than assuming that The Mother & Sri Aurobindo established the Ashram for furtherance of the Hindu cause. Even to say that they attempted a Vedic revival would be wrong. Descent of the Supermental is an unprecedented task and it was their lifelong pursuit.

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo might not have approved it but belonging to some religion is a legal necessity. Devotees are facing embarrassment for being identified as Hindu and hence this new Savitri Era Religion. We also demand early govt recognition for it
Terms like Hindu, Hindutva, or Sanatana Dharma have become controversial and hence I had introduced the phrase Savitri Era in 2005 for distinguishing the devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo from the rest of the crowd. In 2006, I formally declared it to be Savitri Era Religion.

Golwalkar came from the RKM stable and like all RKM initiates, antipathy towards Sri Aurobindo is ingrained. Itś convenient as you don´t have to read much or difficult stuff. RSS pays lip service but understands that SA's interpretation of the Veda is subversive of Hindu Rituals.

I reiterate that your intention is noble but there are flaws in your assumptions which I seek to rectify. Hindu Spirituality is not something monolithic and you yourself have mentioned only three names. Calling them as enlightened souls is also a supposition. Follow #SriAurobindo
Diametrically opposite views on religion and tradition are harboured by the Hindu enthusiasts and Marxists with the latter stealing a march on the question of modernity, secular ethos, and a critical approach. #SavitriEra draws the best of both as per #SriAurobindo's inspiration.
No need of much intellectual muscle or political acumen. Just by following #SriAurobindo, one is assured of being in the right path. That's a great advantage when one is witnessing entertaining slugfest among various factions of Hindu stalwarts. Not reading Sri Aurobindo apparent
