This includes Hindu fanaticism too

Sri Aurobindo considers Nation-ego as false subjectivism, which thrusts one's superiority in the name of national pride. The Nation-soul, is true subjectivism, which attempts to capture one's traditional heritage and values not as compensation for real or imagined injuries.

Sri Aurobindo is hugely misappropriated by a fringe political wing begging votes in his name. His nationalism was universal and pluralistic which binds whole humanity in one cord. ABVP doesn't even aspire to reach this goal.

The solution is in doing one's work selflessly and letting the Divine do His work. If people choose to play the games of padre and pundit, it is only themselves to be blamed.

Swami Vivekanand and Sri Aurobindo do not belong to a race, a nation or religion, but to the humanity. The evolutionary force will eventually marginalise anything which is sectarian and divisive.

Hindus can rise only if they can raise humanity. All other reactions are that of timid and cowardly. Sri Aurobindo takes the burden of raising the consciousness of the humanity of which Hindus are a fragment.

The Buddhist sociologist David Loy refers to this "National-Ego" as "Wego" -- it's still within the orbit of narcissistic mind.

So admirably put and absolutely unequivocal. Additionally, there's no agony involved in Sri Aurobindo's Evolutionary vision of the future for it's inextricably imbued with the Vedic harmony and optimism. How even Elst misses this is surely a mystery. He hasn't read #SriAurobindo.

Anonymity provides the luxury of overdose of bravado but the reality is much more complex and unpredictable. Each language in India is a distinct Nation and the States need to be given Sovereignty under a loose Federation. The fate of erstwhile USSR has to be replicated in India.
So, what's the solution you suggest? Separate territories and separate Constitutions? Silence on that misguides the people. Coherent and cogent socio-political blueprint needed. And unlike most others here, you are well aware of Sri Aurobindo.

Sir, please desist. What you are saying goes against the very foundational edict of the Gita...it adharma has infested neighbours or friends or even family then it has to be dealt with...you just don’t seem to know what forces you are aiding..stop please...

Proves you neither understand Gita not even the rudimentary of sadhana...may the Divine save those who value your words..and no, Auroville is not a superfluous feel good venture initiated by the Mother..it’s a mighty leap into the future meant for heroes of Spirit..

This Yoga has no single set method, so declares Sri Aurobindo himself. There are some basic principles..for example ‘aspiration, rejection and surrender’ offered for pursuit and practise. These are often abstract deliberately for the true sadhana is not one set in stone for all..

..but is an outflowering from oneself, the almost spontaneous combustion of Agni within and his onward progress..and our pursuit and alignment of being to his directions..apologies if one sounds ambiguous, one speaks from experience...that said...
Begin with Adventure of Consciouness by Satprem..that will give a high level roadmap of the Yoga and its aims. Assuming you have some grounding in Vedantic terms and their inner sense, then you may begin with The Life Divine..a very detailed outlining the basis of our aims...
That done, and some practise on your end, affirmed perhaps by some inner signs, you may move to The Synthesis of Yoga. If wondering about how the emotional fallout would be, read the Collected Poems for how all this impacts all parts of being especially vital emotional...
If all this has yet to hook you..touch Savitri..in all these steps try to have a poise of openness..and aspiration..what Sri Aurobindo writes is power more than words and semantics, it can work on one even if one doesn’t immediately grok it mentally..good luck..may Agni aid you!

You remember Him. He calls you. Asap. Was passing by  #Vadodara on way 2 #Delhi. Had a little time. Thought of #SriAurobindo and his stay here. Something happened which I never imagined. Was brought to Ashram . Had darshan meditation. Thank you Mother. https://t.co/jbVVdqqeyg

Sri Aurobindo is constantly among us and reveals Himself to those who are ready to see and hear Him.-The Mother.

"All fanaticism is false because it is a contradiction of the very nature of God and of Truth." -Sri Aurobindo, 23.10.39.
Clearly, this includes Hindu fanaticism too.
Let's not make a virtue of it.

Hinduism is not as much a religion as a way of life, in a sublime sense, a spiritual journey. The Hindutva brigade wants to hard code it like any other abrahamic religion.
https://twitter.com/Nimai_Swain/status/1218478081666469893?s=19
No organised religion is going to take humanity to the next level of consciousness. With the level of toxicity and suspiciousness, all religions have become anti-human and weapons of mass destruction.
I wish the sublimest form of every human endeavour is to realize the One. The moment I label it as Hinduism, I am labeling everything else as non-Hindu. This is against the very premise Hinduism is trying to achieve, the one Brahman in every being. It is as simple as that.
Well, good question. All possibilities are within "me" and not without. Till religion guides inner seeking it is helpful. When it divides people it becomes toxic. To stop this toxicity, first thing, spirituality must be delinked from politics.
Nobody can take over one's life if one doesn't want to. Keep politics out of religion, it will no longer be toxic.
I have widely read Swami Vivekananda and Sri Aurobindo. What I learnt there's difference between spirituality which is the self's journey to find its own highest Self, and organized religions. These are damned nonsense, hypocrisy, masks for political hooliganism and nothing else.
https://twitter.com/Nimai_Swain/status/1218526246574837760?s=19
What else is the goal of religion, other than facilitating the highest form of realization? There is no confusion. Anything that negates the Oneness, the Undivisible is based on ajnana, falsehood. All religions today are divisive and against the principles of Oneness.
If hinduism defines true spirituality let's go and live it rather than fight to prove that mine is better than yours.
The Secret of the Veda is one of the outstanding expository works by Sri Aurobindo which captures its gist and spirit. He silences the western skeptics who perceived it "to be merely an interesting remnant of barbarism". Christianity wouldn't venture into Aurobindian territory.

The roots of democracy can be traced back to Vedic period where Raja didn't hold absolute power and was answerable to the Sabha.#GitishKannad understands the essence of Hinduism.
