Please read a bit about what Sri Aurobindo has said about acts of dissemination of his yoga... In short, he wanted the writings available to those who sought them, but he rejected any campaign to disseminate, popularize, or convert. The work itself, if it succeeded, would be its own vehicle.

Help me make sense of this pls: A lit festival is organised in a town home to one of the greatest literary genius of India by someone from his own institute. But discussing him or his works (spiritual or secular) in that conference would make it evangelism!!! wow! *slow claps*

PLF would hv elevated its quality and benefited from local experts with topics like:
1. Contemporary mystic poets in lines of Future Poetry.
2. Evolving NEP 2.0 with lessons from Integral Education
3. Solutions to major geo-political problems in light of The Human Cycle, etc.
Let me ignore your ad-hominem attacks. Would just say that it doesn't reflect well in public - neither for PLF nor for SAICE as you are associated with both. If you want to do public events, learn to take constructive feedback with open mind and be respectful. Peace!

How do you leap to such illogical conclusion that speaking about Sri Aurobindo's yoga or philosophy in a conference organised in Pondy (by someone from SAICE of all places) and attended mostly by those familiar about Sri Aurobindo is evangelism?
Do you know how many sadhaks were sent by Mother to give talks about Sri Aurobindo in various forums? Mother herself organised conferences on major anniversary dates. Satprem was guided by SA (inwardly) and Mother to write his book introducing SA to the western audience.
Read the purpose behind starting the Mother India journal. Evangelism is very very different thing. What has been done is effectively hiding SA or wantonly imposing a ban on him from an audience who want to know more and discuss more.

Evangelism which SA advised against is very different from bringing out his message to solve the world's problems, spiritual & material. During Mother's time, Ashram organised conferences for it. Mother India magazine exists to give solutions to contemporary issues in light of SA
