Would conclude this thread here, but want to say a word of caution lest people reduce Sri Aurobindo to be an ideological partisan.
Sri Aurobindo and the Mother work for humanity at large and for India (because it is India's mission to be humanity's spiritual leader). They are not to be narrowly identified with any party or movement or organisation and their inspiration can be found acrosss many leaders especially during critical / challenging times for the nation. PM Indira Gandhi sought for and received Mother's clear guidance and Spiritual Force during 1971 war. Same is the case after 1962 debacle with China. Nehru had a change of heart after meeting the Mother at Sri Aurobindo ashram (after the war) but before he could correct some of his mistakes he passed away.
Any of us who sincerely work for humanity and for India's swadharma (or the swadharma of any civilisational state) and aspires for help from a Higher Power, will get the Divine Mother's Force guide and support them in their endeavour. They can even be atheists. It does not matter. They do not even need to know of or recognise the Mother or Sri Aurobindo as embodiments of the divine. The most important thing is their inner state of mind, sincerity, aspiration and the work they undertake.

Generally if you ask these trads about Apaurusheya they will say it is emanation of shabda brahman or as you said beyond human origin, but if you read rig veda you will see Rishis talking about mundane things like cows and horses. You will ask yourself why does knowledge of beyond talk about these things. If you read Sri Aurobindo finally true meaning of Apaurusheya becomes clear.

There is lack of sincerity in India in everything. Everything we see - corruption, ineptitude at work, low quality output, food adulteration, fraud, low trust culture, bureaucracy, trash everywhere, poor quality of service, meaningless busy work - they can all be traced to one thing - lack of sincerity. Even in spiritual pursuits, sincerity is lacking and people end up clinging to empty rituals and make no progress.

Hypocrisy at every level from individual...to society/ community. This is something i have seen amongst my western friends, they are so truthful at a personal level.

Bro you ruined it with that last piece of Modi servility. Sincerity and Modi? He just had his 75th birthday. While he pushed the senior leaders of his own party into obscurity using the 75 year age-limit as a cut-off he is happily continuing as sole dictator with no successor or plans to step down. And this is just merely scratching the surface of this man's perfidy. Please do not use Mother Sri Aurobindo to edify any politician. They are all cut from the same cloth.
Modi's whole persona is a PR creation. I'm really disheartened by this attempt to misuse Sri Aurobindo & the Mother to glorify self-serving politicians. Just not done.
The whole dharma bandwagon has degenerated into a circus of self-seeking politicians. As of now its only utility is to keep at bay the greater evils that threaten to supplant them and are just waiting in the wings to pounce on the country if given the opportunity.

Sorry this upset you. I feel Modi is an instrument of the Mother. I understand you feel very differently about him. But it's a good point to not mix current gen politicians and the Masters. Point taken.

Fair argument. As said I will write a post on why I strongly disagree with Western indology and linguists. And that is agnostic of my admiration for Sri Aurobindo. I came to that conclusion well before I started reading Sri Aurobindo in depth.

While your advocacy for the Hindu cause can't be contested, creating an artifical category like HINOs appears anomalous. How would you explain dividing the Hindu society by such a caste like feature. Besides, is questioning the religious orientation of people in a democracy okay?
There can be many such descriptions but you are basically fighting for the acknowledged Hindu population in India (covered by the Hindu Code for instance). Thus dividing them under the rubric of some arbitrary attribution like HINO is patently a contradiction. It's also insulting.

Just a clarification as occult practices might be understood negative as well:
Yes, both Sri Aurobindo and The Mother engaged with occult practices, but primarily as part of their broader spiritual and yogic pursuits, rather than in a sensational or malevolent sense. Their involvement focused on understanding hidden forces of nature, spiritual evolution, and integral yoga, integrating occult knowledge into a path toward divine realization.
Sri Aurobindo
Sri Aurobindo explored occultism as an extension of his integral yoga philosophy, viewing it as the knowledge and proper use of hidden natural forces, rather than mere magic or supernatural mechanisms.
He discussed occult forces in his writings, such as The Life Divine, emphasizing their role in bringing deeper truths into human life and warning against misuse for personal power.
