It is time we removed Sethna's label "Aurobindonian" tagged at our back. The label makes our critics separate us from the world. I would prefer the terms "integral", "inclusive thinkers", "non-separatists, " we who see life as a whole" through Sri Aurobindo's vision of life.

Let all accept his vision because he is a need of the world. When Sethna used the phrase " we Aurobindonian moderns" in a letter to Kathleen Raine, Sri Aurobindo was little known. Now that he is the spiritual property of the world we must remove the tag from our back!

True...and I subscribe to Sri Aurobindo’s view that there are four propensities in man..of knowledge, of power, of wealth and of service. I consciously will the development of all four...the perfect purusha embodies these four traits in perfect balance and harmony

And the attitude that am so poorly trying to articulate is that of Sri Aurobindo...and I will not venture to comment if I had not at some peripheral level touched some of these states..including touches of the states Sri Krishna alludes to in the Gita..so🤷♂️

The Mother, "spiritual" friend of Aurobindo, was schizophrenic like Aurobindo whose mother was diagnosed as suffering from the same mental disorder. Everything psychic claimed by her has been proven false & her supramental is a figment of imagination. Consciousness is not stuff..

All religions are proven lies. The research is unequivocal on the non-historicity of Abraham, Solomon, David, Noah, Moses & other Jewish figures. Jesus, Krishna & Rama too did not exist. As a Muslim, do you accept breaking of the moon or creation from nothing taught by the Quran?

Like the non-historical Krishna, Rama, Moses, Jesus, Abraham, Noah, David, Solomon, Zoroaster and other religious persons did not exist. Their teachings & the events associated with them too are proven lies, fiction & pseudoscience.

The tussle between the lies, fiction & pseudoscience of Hinduism and Islam with their respective tens of millions of delusional adherents is destroying Kashmir. All religions are running scared of facts. The era of religions is over & fast crumbling everywhere in the world.

Weak sentimentalism & clinging to life & to loved ones are great drawbacks in war & a source of fear, hesitancy & unwillingness to give everything to the task at hand. Religious bigotry & rabid nationalism serve as very potent factors to push fired up fighters to extreme limits.

We r ever in search for an identity - first, its discovery & then its assertion. One of the ironies of human life is that both those who r searching & those who think they've found it r often equally insecure; neither new immigrants to a place nor sons of the soil seem secure;

Neither minorities (linguistic, ethnic, ideological - whatever), nor the majority ever seem fully secure. Often, even the assertion of an identity betrays its underlying fragility. (Am not talking abt assertion of fundamental rights here). Perhaps, this perennial problem has, in
some, given rise to the great philosophical quest for the deepest layer of identity. Something which is not fragile, not impermanent & completely invulnerable to the vicissitudes of fame, wealth, power & politics. In our case, we have to thank our seers of yore for pointing to
the path whr one such may b found. And at last all insecurity may end. Homage to the founding fathers - Yajnavalkya, Uddalaka, Raikwa, Nachiketa, Itara, Gautama, Satyakama, Bhrigu, Pippalada, Shvetasvatara, Pratardana et al for giving that whch is stronger than a 100 Akshauhinis!
Truly, he took it to a whole new level of epistemology - a complete, mature & robust framework, which integrated formalized & beautifully harmonized the speculations of these founding fathers. https://t.co/YLwwJYXTWX

I’m curious if those who are equipped to watch a movie with a ‘trained eye’, see some value in watching “naïvely” at first, like the poet here who advise just taking in sounds and pauses to start with. https://t.co/uiAUselHxC
The Hindi poet (and professor of English literature) Arun Kamal in an interview for Gyan Darshan listed 5 steps for reading a poem he recommends to his students.
Step 1: Read the poem aloud to yourself. Turn the letters on the page into sound. Notice where you pause for breath.
Step 2: Write down the poem rearranging its words into prose, and read this prose version. (This is called “anvaya” in Sanskrit/Hindi)
Step 3: List the unfamiliar words and references in the poem. Consult a dictionary or other references and write up your glossary.
Step 4: Simply read the poem as a poem again from start to finish (without going referring midway to the notes made earlier).
Step 5: Read the poem as many times as you can, whenever there’s an opportunity to revisit.
“A good poem never deserts you.”, Prof. Arun Kamal says.
there is definitely a school of thought that privileges instincts and senses as compared to a more distanced intellectual interpretation and judgment. My own feeling is that both are important, one without the other will leave you with an incomplete experience.

It's well known that when one doesn't have any identity or achievement (like in adolescence) one takes up some tribal cause like nation or religion in order to shore up self esteem. But justifying political support (with intention of material gains) as rational is sheer hypocrisy.
