Stop misrepresentation of Sri Aurobindo

Is the Sri Aurobindo Ashram Trust in Pondicherry bent upon destroying the spiritual legacy of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother?

Some of the  modern Bengali sociologists are allergic to Sri Aurobindo. Reason? Sri Aurobindo asks for a refined life style, which they can't practise. I too can't satisfy the minimum standard set by him. But I don't speak disparagingly of Sri Aurobindo.

The way @AmitShah is reverberating the Indian Parliament with his forceful and fascinating exhortations replete with the classic Indian Motif, Indian Intellectual Renaissance as envisioned by the giants like Sri Aurobindo is just but round the corner.

It appeared downright blasphemous when Peter Heehs announced in 2008 that [The Aurobindo that interests me is the one who...was able to write a shelf full of books] but his own fetish for them (and lifelong engagement) must be seen as the redeeming factor. https://t.co/tFSy4kc1KC

Sri Aurobindo is regularly accused as an escapist and a slew of 'mudslinging' has been documented by Peter Heehs in his book, The Lives of Sri Aurobindo. A masterly work but also famous for its skew. Parts of it are available online free.
https://twitter.com/NathTusar/status/1109774659313033217?s=19
Mother's Agenda, edited by Satprem was highly controversial when published without consent of #SriAurobindo Ashram. The Lives of Sri Aurobindo by Peter Heehs also generated much heat a decade back. Still, she remains almost unknown in India. Hardly anyone has read her 30 volumes. https://t.co/hXKwxTiN8W

Sri Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville has scores of scholars who have dedicated their lives to research on Sri Aurobindo and allied fields but media including RW journals are fond of giving coverage only to foreigners. This colonial mentality should end and Indians should get chance

Issuing the warning for the nth time in the public interest, especially for the budding Hindutva intellectuals and scholars (a rare species, indeed): Please don't contaminate your understanding of Sri Aurobindo via Danino, Elst, Frawley, or Gautier (DEFG). https://t.co/q7pc8io2X5
https://twitter.com/SavitriEraParty/status/1120338888118231040?s=19
Danino, Elst, Frawley, Gautier, and Heehs, though sound sympathetic, are responsible for misrepresenting the message of Sri Aurobindo. (TNM55)
https://twitter.com/SavitriEraParty/status/203824154770817024?s=19
"Sri Aurobindo is uncompromising" Danino tells evocatively "he rejects humanism and all hopes for a more 'moral' human being as shallow and ineffectual, and insists on a fundamental change in human nature as the only hope for the species' survival." But AIT is his Achilles' heel!
https://twitter.com/SavitriEraParty/status/1041891468456148993?s=19
Scholars from Ambedkar to Ashis Nandy, from Sita Ram Goel to Arun Shourie are just primers and shouldn't be allowed to be the final template. Even Rajiv Malhotra and S.N. Balagangadhara, Koenraad Elst or Michel Danino fall in the same category. Sri Aurobindo is the finishing coat.
https://twitter.com/SavitriEraParty/status/1024930015169929217?s=19
The Mother & Sri Aurobindo can't, definitely, be identified with one nation; they worked for the whole humanity or rather to transcend it. Those who are in love with a muscular representation of Sri Aurobindo's political philosophy are, of course, entitled to such a tunnel vision
https://twitter.com/SavitriEraParty/status/1146785732440158210?s=19

K.R. Srinivasa Iyengar's biography of Sri Aurobindo is till date the best one. It is not "hagiography" at all. It is subtly critical n balanced. When d subject's name is Sri Aurobindo one has to be extremely careful. Criticise we must but on bended knees!
https://twitter.com/GoutamGhosal2/status/1135945497674313728?s=19
Iyengar was a trained critic, got his D.Litt. on Lytton Strachey in 1938. Sri Aurobindo didn't interfere with the interpretations; he just corrected some facts.

Let me tell you as a precis  the mischiefs done by a foreigner who wanted to  sell his book. 1. Can a biography of Sri Aurobindo be written thoroughly in an ironic style? 2. Can a person totally untrained in literature n poetry write a biography of Sri Aurobindo? Unpardonable.
https://twitter.com/GoutamGhosal2/status/1136167312640241664?s=19

What @peterheehs did is unpardonable. It was also a mediocre work written with bias and malign intent. I don't know what purpose it served. https://t.co/OsN4S9vmXm

From the age of fifteen Michel Danino was drawn to India, some of her great yogis, and soon to Sri Aurobindo and Mother. In 1977, dissatisfied after 4 years of higher scientific studies, he left France for India, where he has since been living. #quotes https://t.co/9eMYNEJOVj

Michel Danino is an author and historian with works such as the "The Lost River: On The Trail of the Sarasvati" to his credit. Influenced heavily by Sri Aurobindo and The the Mother, he left France for India in 1977, and has been living here ever since. #quoteoftheday https://t.co/25RqRgjPAs

I am deeply humbled and awed by the force of Prof. Michel Danino's essay. Why is this Frenchman so patiently persuading Indians who just don't want to listen?
Thank you Prof. Danino. You are Indian. More Indian than any of us. Thanks to Aurobindo for inspiring people like you. https://t.co/ECEYx7h9cH

The creation of an atmosphere of genuine culture where students are invited to critically explore wider horizons is what is needed but one that is also free of the high-decibel, stereotyped and neo-colonial disparagement of our public intellectuals. https://t.co/XDNhUvvgJv

If you have never read  Sri Aurobindo and India’s Rebirth now is the time to get the new release, edited by Michel Danino. Aurobindo warns early enough the need to distinguish reason from a blind imitation of the West, a trap we are falling into. https://t.co/cjwYknzPSv

Begun "Sri Aurobindo & India's Rebirth" by Michel Danino.
Had no idea he was so anglicised, school & college in England from age 8 to 21!
His rediscovery of heritage, yearning for freedom, & passion for  education has shades of conservatism at which today's liberals would flinch. https://t.co/rgU9sdgM4U

I have maintained my interest in #Auroville as an experiment of great value, an aspiring laboratory for Sri Aurobindo’s vision of a humanity endeavouring to rise above the ego and its endless greeds, says Michel Danino https://t.co/pJjGgbMbwM
