Of course there are signs as well as a large body of objective evidence which allows the Avatar to have his mission confirmed not by the sentimental, emotional and subjective experiences of his devotees, but rather the Cosmos becomes his credentials. God supports His supreme Realizer by the cosmic harmonies of His universal manifestation, the script written in his very body. Indeed if this is veritably the Supramental Manifestation, which is the ultimate reconciliation of Spirit and Matter, that ‘spirit’ must unveil itself unquestionably in the workings of the material kingdom which is the extension of its own truth-essence. This Vedic Divine Measure was the very essence of the Mother’s original plan for her Temple and its sacred dimensions contained the entire story of these sacred incarnations written in the language of Supramental Time. For those with eyes to see, one may observe all of the significant dates of the Supramental Creation recorded for all time in the Globe and Pedestal.

At the top of the Pedestal, which is to bear Sri Aurobindo's symbol, we find the date: 1950, the very year which Sri Aurobindo left his body. The exact center of the Pedestal and the "Power Point" of the entire Matrimandir, which happens to also coincide with the center of the lotus of his symbol when constructed properly... is 1956, the year of the Supramental manifestation. At the base of the Pedestal, the center of the room where horizontal diameter meets verticle axis in the center of the Mother's symbol carved in stone, we read the exact year and month of Sri Aurobindo's return to this earth. Every single dimension of this miracle of sacred architecture has been described in irrefutable detail by Thea - Patrizia Norelli-Bachelet in her numerous books and articles. But these as we know have been systematically rejected by the powers that rule in Auroville and the Ashram and banned from the official list of titles.

So one would have to say no, it is not the modern mind, the modern age which draws a thick veil over the intuitive faculty of ours prevents seeing such signs. It is the mental ego of the instrument that refuses to see even when shown preferring instead to arrogantly assert its own authority on matters far beyond its abilities. And what is the result? Men who talk and sleep. For how can one possibly present a true interpretation of Savitri when one has missed its central theme… the rebirth of Sri Aurobindo exactly as he predicted.

Interesting thought and nicely expressed....

  1. Tusar, I think it is important to note that the comments you posted were written in response to a posting by R.Y. Deshpande on his ‘Mirror of Tomorrow’ blog.

    Deshpande writes:
‘…It seems that there was an intense aspiration invoking the divine birth… Great supernatural events occurred prior to the arrival. Was there something of the kind in the case of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother? Who knows? But there must have been, and there is no doubt about it. Great forces gather up when the Divine is poised to take such a birth. Or is it that the modern mind, the modern age draws a thick veil over the intuitive faculty of ours and prevents seeing such signs? ‘

As you may know, Deshpande has made a special issue about the importance of the Avatar and his work. In Nov 12, 2008, in response to the release of ‘The Lives of Sri Aurobindo’ by Peter Heehs, Deshpande released a portion of a piece he wrote entitled:The Avataric Work: ‘Towards the Intermediate Race’.

‘…The Gita reveals that the purpose of the divine Incarnation or coming as an Avatar is to do the divine work, diyam karma… Sri Aurobindo came to do that, to bring the Spermind in the terrestrial play and make the divine manifestation here upon earth a possibility. We have to see from whatever has been revealed to us if this is present in his life and in his work. Representation of that work should be the genuine concern for any study of his, including biographical. If this is missed the that study is a waste of effort and one need not really attach any importance to it.’ RYD

According to Deshpande, the genuine concern for whatever has been revealed of the Avatar, his life and work is absolutely paramount and yet when these details are proffered with full factual proof the key of which is given in the Rig Veda itself, they are summarily dismissed. One can only conclude that Deshpande’s earlier comments are completely INSINCERE, a quality that the Mother called, ‘our saddest failure’. Not only does he not want to know about the specific details of the Avatar’s life, work and cosmic credentials, he doesn’t want the readers of his blog to know either. Shortly after posting to his blog, my comments that you published were deleted.

I think it is time to take a long hard look at these self appointed Brahmins of Pondicherry and the strangle hold they have tried to impose on real knowledge. Why they would do this is obviously the perpetuation of their own narrow mental orthodoxy but their lack of good will and openness is now being carried to ridiculous extremes. An interesting case in point is Paulette who responded to one of my postings saying to Deshpande, ‘Wilkinson is a close associate of Patrizia Norelli Bachelet and supports her claims. I have been instructed by the Auroville Working Committee not to entertain with such people any discussion whatsoever, on any topic’.

It is almost laughable that the very mention of Patrizia’s name has become a touchstone, an excuse for the mind to slam shut rejecting without question every word she has ever written. There is no openness, no innocence of mind, no willingness to discuss, just an arrogant belief in the certainty of her own dogma. This has been the status quo in Auroville for 36 years, complete Inertia and a pathological rejection of the light. To be challenged by those of us who possess some degree of realization evokes the most vitriolic responses like Paulette’s, ‘’I refuse to read anything coming from Patrizia Norelli, Wilkinson or their few associates’. So they continue with their unexamined rejection of anything that might disturb the comfort of orthodoxy. It is like living under a spell. There is just one huge NO, even in the face of incontrovertible facts, objective proof. It is still NO. No to the Third, No to the Mother's Chamber, No to the Veda. Just NO!

Don’t quote me on this Tusar but I have it on good authority that Auroville has adopted a new Symbol and Mascot for the ‘City of Dawn’. It is the Ostrich, that most curious of creatures who, when threatened, sticks its head in the sand.
