Sri Aurobindo’s magnum opus on spiritual philosophy, 'The Life Divine'; and 'Savitri', a more complete and poetic description of his experiences and a summary of his spiritual philosophy are most important contribution that can serve mankind well for atleast a few thousand years!
twice-born is one in whom Agni is born, or one whose psychic being, or one whose heart-flame has torn the veil. Merely being born into a specific Varna as most believe does not make one a twice-born. The former is doable by sadhana. Latter is not our problem to solve.
, each sampradaya has its own approaches. And each swabhava its own needs. Often these don’t match, do keep that in mind. Mine is the path of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. Here I would say begin with Essays on the Gita and practise its discipline first.
are plenty of books and videos from Sri Aurobindo school of practice on how to prepare oneself for Agni to wake up. I will suggest some material during the weekend. But note, this can also be done by other approaches, if one knows how.
Sri Aurobindo is widest and very precise in articulating the process. Others might lean too heavily on one aspect, whatever it may be.

Exactly the problem. They will not or cannot articulate where we are stuck and what one must do to do better. Check series called Nagin Doshi, Guidance by Sri Aurobindo. See how precisely disciple expresses his condition and how Master guides him forward.
Bhai, sorry..I definitely did not mean that you should have a guru. I did not. I took my Guru to be Sri Aurobindo and He indeed ensured it was so. Don’t constrain yourself by those old notions, I know I would piss off traditionalist by saying this but doesn’t matter.
One can submit oneself to the Divine direct, difficult process but fruitful in long term and better than waiting for a human guru who has had any definitive attainment. Most people now have not grown enough to distinguish their Guru’s status, so fall for mental or emotional ease
Saami, nothing could be further than the actual situation..when Master continued His sadhana in Pondicherry it was for a specific inner action with very exact repercussions. It has been affirmed in our own experience, the use of a higher will to influence external events.
The action of a Yogin is counterintuitive to the material intellect. A silence that yet shakes the foundations of the external manifestation is the norm.
