Many shades and many possibilities

Re: "Mother’s Sakyamuni-experience..." by RY Deshpande on Mon 20 Nov 2006 07:55 PM PST Profile Permanent Link Dear Ron Thanks for your nice words and appreciation which I must reciprocate by saying the vigorous manner in which you are conducting the discussions. That is a positive sign of a living group or organisation and I feel happy to associate myself with it. Such many shades and such many possibilities! If this is going to help us grow more and more in the spirit of integral vision of things, then the gain is everybody’s. I view it as an occasion to enter into that spirit, because every time you do it you discover new contents in it. The process seems to be endless in the sense of lines of infinity, bringing that infinity back to us in many ways. There has to be an Integral Yogist approach and it will always prove fulfilling, n’est ce pas?
You say “Namaste”; but let me conclude by quoting what Vivekananda said on 11 September 1893: “Sisters and Brothers of America… Sectarianism, bigotry, and its horrible descendant, fanaticism, have long possessed this beautiful earth. They have filled the earth with violence, drenched it often and often with human blood, destroyed civilization and sent whole nations to despair. Had it not been for these horrible demons, human society would be far more advanced than it is now. But their time is come; and I fervently hope that the bell that tolled this morning… may be the death-knell of all fanaticism, of all persecutions with the sword or with the pen, and of all uncharitable feelings between persons wending their way to the same goal.” How close are we to it? Thanks again
Re: "Mother’s Sakyamuni-experience..."by rjon on Mon 20 Nov 2006 01:55 PM PST Profile Permanent Link Dear RY Deshpande, I am in awe at your uncanny ability to know the perfect passages from Sri Aurobindo and the Mother relevant to each stage of our discussion, and I thank you for your willingness to take the time to transcribe them and post them here on SCIY for our mutual inspiration ... Namaste, ~ ron anastasia (rjon)
