I have long noticed this. Perhaps because Sri Aurobindo wrote academically respectable books, or because of a general chauvinism, or because the Mother's emphasis on experience rather than theory is difficult for intellectually orientated Westerners to understand.

‘Sanātana Dharma’, or ‘eternal truth’, is the philosophical and practical basis of what is generally known as Hinduism. The Bhagavadgītā is a 700-verse Hindu scripture, which is part of the epic Mahabharata and a pivotal text in understanding Sanatana Dharma.

Celebrated writer, poet and teacher of Vedanta, Partho’s recent book, ‘This Is Sanatan Dharma’, is an attempt to explain some of the fundamental principles and practices of  Sanātana Dharma. He takes Sri Aurobindo as his source of inspiration and guidance.

Medical practitioner and writer Pariksith Singh’s works include ‘The Veda Made Simple’, ‘Sri Aurobindo and Philosophy’ and ‘Sri Aurobindo and the Literary Renaissance of India’.

Together, they embark on a quest to explore these sacred traditions and texts and their continuing impact on our past, present, and future.

Sir I am nobody to recommed. You are guru for us control engineers.

I wasted lot of time trying to read Aurobindo's classic books. It mislead me to think that He was only repeating other vedantist like vivekananda. Until I read letters on yoga 4 volumes. Best place to start

I don't agree with your logic. What you characterise as waste of time was the preparation so that the mind seeks more. Secondly, what is good for one person may not be good for another. Depends upon one's background and propensity. One can start from Poems.

The very sad thing about #Auroville is that @JayantiRavi made it a battlle between Indians (many of them coming from Sri Aurobindo ashram) and westerners. This goes against @narendramodi #vasudhaiva kutumbakam made for the #g20bharatsummit . it has degenerated to such a degree that I who strood against all for the @BJP4India & defended Bharat against all odds, for 40 years, is told by some of Dr Ravi's followers: "go home Frenchman". It hurts !@AmitShah @dpradhanbjp @nitin_gadkari @AmitShahOffice @PMOIndia . here a sad video of 50 years trees being cut on her orders @rss

Auroville should be handed over to Savitri Era Religion

 Collated by Tusar Nath Mohapatra

The Mother & Sri Aurobindo are worshipped as the one Supreme Divine under the Savitri Era Religion, which came into being in 2006. Many of their followers are unwilling to join a separate religion and so are free to worship other gods or gurus. But it's wrong to follow two paths.

In the absence of anyone else expressing his or her exclusive allegiance towards The Mother & Sri Aurobindo on this platform, my personal achievements over the years become important as basis for possible legal recognition of Savitri Era Religion which I founded way back in 2006.

Situation in Auroville is worsening day by day and it's now clear that the original dream of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo has been successfully derailed. Matrimandir being the most important place of worship for the devotees, Auroville should be handed over to Savitri Era Religion.

Devotees of Ram Temple should exit so that genuine followers of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo may breathe peacefully. Integral yoga is inalienably linked to surrender to The Mother and any admixture is inadmissible. Savitri Era Religion has been specifically created for this reason.
