We must reject the inertia of continuing the dispute

Further discussion on Peter's book is more damaging than the book itself. So in the larger interest it needs to be stopped and stopped for ever.

We must reject the inertia of continuing the dispute not only in larger interest but also in the interest of our own self. All stakeholders need to be careful so that their activities do not promote directly or indirectly such inertia.

Anonymous - "Your own review appears on the IYFundamentalism site"
When these Heehs supporters connived (not a singly opposing voice) and supported each other to create the IY site, they showed that they cared NOTHING about the Ashram, Ashramites, and the Founders of the Ashram. They tried to shame, bully, blacklist Heehs critics, talked about denying them US Visas, and potrayed them as rabble rousers and religious fundamentalists. They have not had the decency or the open-mindedness to accept criticism (while talking in the same breath about the virtues of "alternative viewpoints" vis-a-vis Heehs). But they would claim to be liberal and intellectual.
Now they want to sanctimoniously preach like Timmermans has about "individuals who think they can speak for a majority." and about "Kali Yuga". AA(D)RDVARK Posted by Anonymous to Savitri Era Open Forum at 2:13 AM, October 21, 2010

  1. Unfortunately the unscrupulous approach of the know-it-all elitists like Heehs etc. have ensured that the genie would come out of the bottle. Since it is Sri Aurobindo's Name and Image that is at issue, some think it is enhanced and others that it suffers, this issue will not end now. The author of the book knew that his work was calculated to hurt others. His supporters who have launched a massive smear campaign know and have openly declared that all their anti-Ashram, anti-Sadhak insincere and false propoganda is directed solely at getting Heehs off the hook. This falsehood had to come to the surface to be faced and dealt with. Going back now is as much of a real possibility as time travel back into the past.

  2. We must first reject the inertia of giving up and giving in to ingrates among the Heehs supporters who take everything they want from Sri Aurobindo and dont think twice about betraying him! Their allegiance is first and foremost to their political values and to Heehs.

  3. All this is mere prattle of childish minds trapped in the cult of Aurobindo worship, in contrast to a critical understanding of his ideas.

The anti-Heehs fanatics have stuck their neck out to such an extent that there is no going back for them. It is just as though they have jumped off a high, very high cliff; at first the flight is exhilarating, but sooner than later the ground comes hitting hard, very hard. Now that they have committed themselves to that precipitous flight, there is of course no going back. Even if they want to they can't and that is why they have even dragged the Ashram to court. If they can't save themselves, they might at swell try to bring the whole house down.

You and your fascist "buddies" started the IY site, denigrated Sri Aurobindo's immediate disciples, and spread the fire. And you claim to be capable of restraint?! Go fool someone else!

Wrong! Get your facts right at least.

It is websites such as "thelivesofsriaurbindo.com" and the "mirroroftomorrow.com" that have denigrated Sri Aurobindo and his Ashram by their rabid, narrow-minded and personal attacks. They spread the fire. How much more blind can one be???

The IYF site, on the contrary has respected and supported the "immediate disciples" that sincerely and devotedly practice their Sadhana at the Ashram. If at all the IYF site has denigrated some people, it is those people who make up the scum that floats around the periphery of most spiritual institution, the scum that forms as a result of the cleansing forces that purges the system and casts the unwanted mass away.

Lastly, nobody needs to try to fool you, because you have already fooled yourself.

What a cruel joke! The Heehsian mouthpieces sciy and IYF have tried to defame and lynch people in the public square giving them no chance to defend themselves and you have the gall to point your finger at websites that have only tried to defend those people?! What's more - your buddy Rich Carlson (even you seem too mild and stable to be him!) had been targeting Indians and the Mother well before Heehs became the polarizing and divisive force that he is now. By associating yourselves with him and his websites, you have added more fuel to the fire.

"The IYF site, on the contrary has respected and supported the "immediate disciples" that sincerely and devotedly practice their Sadhana at the Ashram."
That is a bogus claim and fits the lies that that site propagates! That site has only demonized people using questionable facts and faulty reasoning. More relevantly, Sri Aurobindo's disciples dont need anyone's approval or blessing least of all those of Guru Heehs and his band of self-appointed "intellectuals".

"If at all the IYF site has denigrated some people, it is those people who make up the scum ...."
It is Heehs and some of his followers that are the scum. They are today's equivalent of the hippies who brought nothing but infamy and disturbance to eastern spirituality and made it into a laughing stock. Like their illustrious predecessors, the Heehsians too appear to worship the profane and seek to spread chaos (all in the name of freedom of expression). It is they who are the impediments to Sri Aurobindo's work and will be tossed out. To avoid it, you might want to advice Heehs to start looking around for a site to build his own "ashram" where all of you can formulate and follow your own rules, sing and dance around, and write all the books you want to under the guidance of Kripal and Murphy.

You, Sir, should not be fooling yourself any longer about the consequences of your actions!
